NICARAGUA - LEON

After Christmas, Anne and me moved on to the other Bigfoot Hostel in Leon. This hostel offers volcano boarding so we thought it would be fun to do something different. Even though we both were really scared and nervous about this new experience, we still looked forward to doing it.

So we hiked up the volcano Cerro Negro, one of the most active volcanos in the world, struggling with the wind, to not be blown away by it and not to eat too much sand as well. The hike was about an hour. On top, we put on our orange prisoners' suits and boarded down. The boarding itself lasted only a few minutes. But it was so much fun and I would definitely do it again if I get the chance to.

New Years Eve was "nothing extraordinary" but in a good way; we went to the Beach Hostel again, spent a few hours there being foolishdrunk and went to bed quite early and it was great. (I was very happy I could finally wear my Little Black Dress I bought in Argentina :)).

I did get a bit homesick and really really missed my beloved friends that day though.
